Handicap Ramp Plans
According to the ADA accessibility guidelines, the requirements for handicap ramp plans are, if the slope is anywhere between 1:12 and 1:16, its maximum rise can be 30 inches or 760 mm, its maximum horizontal run can be 30 feet or 9 meters. If the handicap ramps slope is anywhere between 1:16 and 1:20, its maximum rise can be 30 inches or 760 mm, its maximum horizontal run can be 40 feet or 12 meters. The ramps minimum clear width is 36 inches or 915 mm, and it has to have a level landing at both the top and bottom.
